Only a month ago, a team of US justice
officials interviewed Galain Maxwell in
prison in Florida. She's Jeffrey
Epstein's former girlfriend and is
serving 20 years for sex trafficking
offenses. Now, recordings from those
conversations have been released. In
them, Maxwell says she never introduced
Epstein to Prince Andrew.
>> It would never have occurred to me to
introduce him. I couldn't imagine them
being two two chalk and Jesus would
never. I mean, for real, there's nothing
there to connect them.
>> She also insisted that the US president,
who knew Epstein, never behaved
inappropriately.
>> I certainly never witnessed the
president in any of I don't recall ever
seeing him in his house, for instance. I
actually never saw the president in any
type of massage setting. I never
witnessed the president in any
inappropriate setting, in any way.
>> And she made clear she was a fan of Mr.
Trump. admire his extraordinary
achievement in becoming the president
now and I like him and I've always liked
him.
>> She's expecting a pardon. I mean, she is
basically trying to flatter Donald
Trump. She has no credibility in terms
of having been convicted for perjury.
And what is most insulting is her
dismissal of the victims. When asked
about a secret black book many
speculated contained a list of Epstein's
clients which could incriminate
Washington's elite, Maxwell was firm.
>> There is no list. We'll start with that.
The genesis of that story I can actually
trace for you from its absolute
inception if that is what you're
interested in.
>> For the White House, releasing all this
information is no doubt a belated show
of transparency. But I'm in support of
keeping it totally open. I couldn't care
less. You got a lot of people that could
be mentioned in those files that don't
deserve to be people because he knew
everybody in Palm Beach. I don't know
anything about that, but I have said to
Pam and everybody else, give them
everything you can give them because
it's a it's a Democrat hoax.
>> Only days after these interviews,
Maxwell was transferred to a minimum
security facility in Texas with no
explanation, though. Whether anything
she divulged is true or not remains to
be seen. Aisha Zahed, ITV News.
